Get away from your everyday life and head back to basics with this Woodland Survival weekend. Expect two days full of great activities that have you working together, getting to know each other and bonding over your experiences. A trained ex-army expert will share some survival skills during the day with you and you can dine and drink around the camp fire all evening!
Meet your instructors at camp and settle in with tea and coffee before learning the basics of the ‘survival triangle’. Then learn about and build a shelter for the day and a half you’ll be spending at camp before enjoying a Ploughman’s lunch. After lunch, you will learn how to make your own food with a brief on how to skin and butcher animals. After a tea break, learn about collecting and treating drinkable water before some food foraging. You will also be able to learn about medicine, materials and knife safety before a hot meal cooked over the camp fire. The evening is yours to do with as you please!
Wake the next morning with breakfast cooked for you before learning how to make a fire, featuring a competition to see who can make a fire first! Midday you will dismantle the camp and head home!
Enjoy tea and cake with your instructors on arrival and settle in before learning a primary survival tip: fire making! After you’ve learned how to make a fire, you will do a fire making competition. You will then learn about water purification and give it a go yourself before lunch is served, cooked on an open camp fire! After lunch, enjoy spoon carving and shelter building of the home where you will be spending your night in. Feast on a fire cooked dinner and enjoy some drinks and quality time around a campfire!
Wake the following day with a good breakfast before a trip into the forest to learn about foraging for your own food! Return to camp to dismantle it before heading back to home comforts!
