How to Stay Sane While Planning Your Wedding
Your wedding day should be the best day of your life, but planning it usually ends up being the most stressful period for a woman. You want to plan a perfect wedding and meet everyone’s expectations, but the pressure of such a feat can be overwhelming. There are just too many different people and different opinions, on top of having to do so many things to make sure everything is ready for the big day. Luckily for you, I have experience in these matters and today I am sharing all the insider tips I know to make your wedding planning easy and fun.
Ask a friend to help you out
Wedding planning is stressful, but if you want to have your big day and enjoy the rest of your life with your loved one, you have to go through it. With everything you will have to do before the wedding and the stress of it all, you ought to find a friend who will be your support and cheer you up when you need it. Your future husband will be a great help, but there are some things he can’t help you with, like choosing a wedding dress, shoes, and planning your bachelorette’s party. You need someone who knows you and will be able to keep a clear head when you encounter an obstacle. That is a job for a friend, with a great sense of humor.
Have fun with your bridesmaids
One thing all of us girls know is how stressful it is choosing a dress. But choosing multiple dresses for girls with different tastes and body shapes and making sure they are all similar enough to look good in the wedding ceremony is a nightmare but here’s a tip! Invite your bridesmaids over for a night in and have fun choosing their dresses online. When I was a bridesmaid for my friend, we had a great night and we found the dresses in no time at all. There are so many great dresses online nowadays that you will easily find something for every taste and style. The best part is that you will be all together and with a few glasses of wine, you are bound to get an honest opinion about the dresses. You will have fun, complete a big task for the wedding, and make sure everyone is happy with the choices.
We all know the image of a stressed-out bridezilla running around town with her wedding binder screaming at everyone she comes across. But, with proper use of the wedding binder, she would not be stressed! Jot down everything you need to do before the wedding. Write down the dates and times of rehearsals, parties, tastings… Write down all the names and phone numbers you might need. Write down everything that has to do with the wedding. You might think you don’t need to do this because you can remember it all or you have a phone for taking notes, but you do need it. Having a wedding binder is not just about not forgetting something important, it will serve as a way to destress. When you write your tasks down and you know you have everything neatly written down in one place, you will feel better.
